Barbara is a long time Ventura resident. She is on the Board of Directors for the Ventura Botanical Gardens and has been working on its development since well before the first shovel hit the dirt. In 2021, she co-founded the Ventura Tree Alliance, an organization focused on enhancing Ventura’s urban canopy. In less than two years, in partnership with the City, the organization and its volunteers have planted over 100 trees. For a quarter of a century prior to her retirement, she owned a branding firm, working with companies like Patagonia, and others that advance stewardship of the land and our environment. In her spare time, she paints the beautiful places that engender preservation.
