CLAUDIA ARMANN

Executive Director, McCune Foundation

Claudia Armann has been the Executive Director of the McCune Foundation since 2008. She leads the Foundation’s grantmaking to social justice organizations in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. Claudia previously worked for eight years at the Santa Barbara Foundation. Before her career in philanthropy, Claudia earned a degree in journalism, interned with The Associated Press, and worked in the magazine industry.

Claudia’s early community service was focused on the environment as a volunteer and past Board member of the Santa Barbara Wildlife Care Network and the Ventura Citizens for Hillside Preservation. She is an avid bird watcher and wildlife enthusiast.

Claudia co-founded Homes for All, an affordable housing advocacy group, and serves on the Behavioral Health Advisory Board for the County of Ventura. Following the Thomas Fire, Claudia helped establish the 805 UndocuFund, which has since provided more than $8 million in financial support to undocumented residents affected by natural disasters and the pandemic.
