Jaison joined the VLT team in July 2023 where he monitors the Willoughby Preserve in the Ventura River Estuary, keeping the area clean and safe. He works alongside VLT staff, volunteers, and community partners to remove invasive species and trash from the property, prepare and submit reports on VLT's restoration activities, and coordinate with other community organizations to compassionately manage homeless activity and keep land along the river as natural and safe as possible. Jaison was born and raised in Ventura County, where he spent much time exploring the outdoors through camping and hiking trips. After graduating with a B.S. in Environmental Science from Cal State Channel Islands, he interned at the Walker Basin Conservancy in Nevada, where he learned I wanted to pursue a career in conservation. 

In Jaison's free time, you can find him hiking local trails, relaxing at the beach, and reading books at home.
