JIM FRIEDL

General Manager, Conejo Recreation & Park District

Jim has lived in Agoura Hills since 1977 - attending public schools and graduating with an Urban Planning degree from UC San Diego.  He attended law school at Pepperdine, then went to work in the City of Thousand Oaks, first as a lawyer, then transitioning into management as an Assistant City Manager.
In 2003, Jim moved over to the Conejo Recreation and Park District, becoming General Manager in 2006. For the past 20 years, he has worked with a dedicated team of park professionals supporting more than 60 parks and facilities, 150 miles of multi-use trails, thousands of recreation programs and dozens of special community events.  As GM for CRPD, Jim works closely with the Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority (MRCA) and Conejo Open Space Conservation Agency (COSCA).
Jim is passionate about public parks and open spaces, loves hiking (especially with his dog Max) and has explored hundreds of miles of trails in the Santa Monica Mountains and beyond.  He has 4 adult children - whom he loves even more than Max (that's a lot).
