Kat Selm is a collaborative problem solver with over a decade of experience in the environmental field who focuses on achieving equitable outcomes for communities when tackling complex environmental challenges. Kat currently works on Better World Group’s conservation, environmental, and intersectional climate portfolio; assisting agency, NGO, and philanthropic entities in areas such as policy advocacy. In her previous role at The Nature Conservancy, she opened the first designated public access space along the Santa Clara River. In her spare time, Kat is active in her community, co-founding the Conejo Climate Coalition, a grassroots coalition that works towards a just, resilient and fossil-fuel free community through advocacy, policy and education. Kat is also an advisory committee member on the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy, representing the City of Thousand Oaks and a community advisory committee member for the Clean Power Alliance.
