KIM STROUD

Executive Director, Ojai Raptor Center

After years of working in the wildlife sector, Kimberly Stroud was inspired to start her own wildlife-centered non-profit and in 2000 she founded the Ojai Raptor Center. The Ojai Raptor Center is a state and federally permitted, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of birds of prey and other wildlife. The ORC takes in more than 1200 local wildlife species, with a 60% rehabilitation release rate back to the wild.

Kim also provides educational programs in schools to teach about local & global wildlife issues, and concerns, which show our next generation what it means to participate in protecting various avenues of environmental concerns, one of which is protecting (but not limited to) wildlife. Kim is also a longtime employee of Patagonia, working in the R & D Department.
