Mike is the Director of Technical Operations at Agilent Technologies, a global life science company. He is a certified California Naturalist and a Naturalist volunteer with Channel Islands National Park and National Marine Sanctuary. He has contributed to wildlife monitoring for Ojai Valley Land Conservancy's restoration efforts, as well as monitoring wildlife for California State University, Channel Islands as part of campus recovery efforts following the Springs Fire.

Mike is a certified wildlife tracker, holding certifications in both track and sign interpretation as well as wildlife trailing from Tracker Certifications North America, the international standard for professional-level wildlife tracking and ecology certifications. He is currently the President of Friends of the Island Fox, a local non-profit conservation organization whose mission is to preserve and protect the Island Fox and Island Spotted Skunk.
